When we are first introduced to a new subject, building a strong foundation is crucial to ensure that we can make future connections and build upon the knowledge we possess. This introductory course in instructional technology allowed me to do so. In this course, I have learned the basics of instructional design and technology in their foundation, design and development, research, and technology. I was able to develop an understanding of key principles, terminology, and scholars. With this information, I now have my perspective and ideas about learning and teaching with technology. Also, I can make educated decisions when implementing technology in a classroom or designing learning material based on learning theories the work of key scholars.
