Reflection
This ETEC 644 course was similar to ETEC 544 in that it focuses on the design and development of instructional material. The difference this time was that we had to go through the process individually rather than in groups. At the beginning of the process, I had to choose an instructional topic of my interest that I, later on, developed instructional material that could help improve the issue. The knowledge and skills gained from ETEC 544 were beneficial in this course throughout the development of my instructional product prototype. It included analyzing, writing objectives, designing flowcharts and storyboards, creating formative evaluations, and selecting instructional resources to create the best instructional product. Overall, the purpose of this course was to make us go through the ADDIE process and have us create our own experience. The experience was beneficial because it gave me perspective on what it is like to design instructional material. There is a lot of time and patience invested in creating content, programs, and training material. Applying what I learned in our textbooks and reading material gave me a better understanding of the process. Now I know, that in my future career, I can apply the same process to create material or programs that will help me with any issue that emerges.
